Friland invites you to explore Mount Joanaz, at the heart of the municipality of Torreano, one of the most renowned peaks of the Julian Prealps, a treasure for those who love alpine excursions.
Our room, situated at over a thousand meters above sea level, is a window to postcard-worthy landscapes, ready to gift you unforgettable memories: your gaze will sweep from the Friulian plains to the majestic Julian Alps, will brush the blue of the sea and will get lost in the lands of Slovenia.
The vastness of the open space invites you to bask in the long hours of spring sunshine and to be enchanted by fiery sunsets and night skies sprinkled with stars, while nature expresses its full splendor, as in the exuberant blooming of the asphodel, emblematic of these lands.
In the period leading up to your visit, we will send you a comprehensive guide to discover the area: a compendium of activities and must-see places, so that every moment can swing between complete relaxation and the most authentic adventure of discovery.
ATTENTION: You can park one kilometer away from the Friland room. To reach it, there is a walk of about 10/15 minutes on a dirt road. We therefore recommend light luggage and suitable footwear.

Friland accommodations are designed to have minimal environmental impact while ensuring a comfortable experience.
Each structure is offgrid, meaning it does not require a connection to the water and sewage network. Electricity is primarily generated by solar panels, while the water system is based on internal tanks. The interiors are finished with wood and recycled materials for thermal insulation and can be used in any season.
To promote a conscious and frugal use of resources, we have installed Quantum in our accommodations, a small monitor that provides real-time information on water and electricity consumption since the beginning of the stay.
We want to make our guests aware of their consumption and help them, if they wish, to make more sustainable choices.
