Our room is located in Tolmezzo, in Udine province. Discover how to get there, clicking here

Friland takes you to the Lauco-Curiedi highland, a vast green expanse of over 70 square kilometers that majestically rises above the Tagliamento valley, stretching from Villa Santina to Tolmezzo. Surrounded by beech forests and coniferous woods, the highland serves as a natural sanctuary, a true balcony over Friuli, offering breathtaking panoramic views of Amariane and the mountains dominating Carnia. Despite its proximity to the city of Tolmezzo, our room is nestled in a context of tranquil greenery, similar to the destination of Mont di Prat. Here, you will be immersed in a green meadow, embraced by a natural amphitheater of trees, creating a serene and bucolic environment, an oasis of peace that refreshes the senses. From our room, you can spot deers and other wild animals such as foxes and hares. For hiking enthusiasts, the highland also reveals itself as a paradise of trails that meander through the hills, with paths leading to fascinating destinations like Mount Dobis, Cuel Maior, and Zoncolan. Enjoy the adventure and tranquility, explore the hidden trails, and let yourself be enchanted by the natural beauty of a unique place where nature reigns supreme

ATTENTION: You can park about 800 meters away from the Friland room. To reach it, there is a walk of about 10 minutes. Therefore, we recommend light luggage and suitable shoes.

Our impact

Friland accommodations are designed to have minimal environmental impact while ensuring a comfortable experience.
Each structure is offgrid, meaning it does not require a connection to the water and sewage network. Electricity is primarily generated by solar panels, while the water system is based on internal tanks. The interiors are finished with wood and recycled materials for thermal insulation and can be used in any season.

To promote a conscious and frugal use of resources, we have installed Quantum in our accommodations, a small monitor that provides real-time information on water and electricity consumption since the beginning of the stay.
We want to make our guests aware of their consumption and help them, if they wish, to make more sustainable choices.
